Blue birds leave in the fall - Acrylic on canvas, 114x162 cm, 2019

About this painting

On a yellow background tinged with pink, I wrote intense blue dynamic forms, red or green. The general structure of these colored shapes follows a diagonal line that goes from the lower left corner to the upper right corner. The whole gives off an impression of movement, inspired by the flight of the swallows who spend the summer in Brittany before leaving when autumn arrives.

From a technical point of view, this work is one of the first in a decade to not use paper towels. It is therefore only made with acrylic. It is therefore less smooth and textured than the paintings of the previous series.
